Decorating Style in One Picture
From the Right Bank has thrown down a challenge... Define your decorating style in one picture. This was difficult for me. My design crushes change frequently. But for right this minute, this is mine. Can you hear that? (Boom, boom, boom... That's my heart pounding!) I love the super high ceiling, the exposed beams and the wall of windows flanking the room. I think the neutral walls and furniture is nothing short of dreamy! What you can't see is the view of the ocean out the right side windows. Let me explain my obsession a little... I am a girl who grew up right on The Great Lakes in Michigan and spent a great deal of time vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This is where my never ending love affair with large bodies of water and great rooms with a view began.

Beautiful ME! You know I have to ante up and take on this challenge. Just so hard to choose!
ReplyDeleteI have a terrible eye for what looks good in a house. Would it be tacky to take the same room and splash around sports memorabilia everywhere (even pillow cases and slip covers for the couches)? I'm pretty sure I know your answer on that.
ReplyDeleteThat room does look awesome, though, just the way it is.
This room is so classic! I'm crazy for that shade of blue right now and goodness, those beams! Thank you for participating in my challenge!
ReplyDeleteArchitectural details painted white-check
ReplyDeleteNavy blue-check
White sofas-check
A minimal number of accessories-check
I'd say it's perfect!
Thanks... I just wish I designed and lived in it myself!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! The vaulted ceiling & beams are spectacular. And all the great architectural detail is gorgeous. I can just imagine how the view of the ocean kicks up the beauty factor another notch or two!! :-)
